We rarely see anything genuinely interesting with new bullet designs, everything is more or less invented a century ago already. This new concept has such a unusual and interesting approach points that we decided to share it. In worst case, release below is still interesting read for all those who are interested about bullet dynamics and less-known behavior related to longer shooting distances. Basic points are about over-stabilizing bullets by app. factor of 2 to minimize or even eliminate conical pitch/yaw oscillations caused by precession / nutation. 22LR rifles have always been very popular. Most of us have one sitting in safety. Some of us have also spent quite a bit hard-earned money to make their small rimfire feel and look similar to favorite big center-fire. All in sake of realistic low-budget training. New for 2018 - Steiner's contribution to extreme range eye-safe laser class. Video pretty much explains itself. Except that it was damn cold and fingers were frozen.. Not too fancy editing unfortunately, or typical Youtube filling babble- but performance should still be presented reasonably well. Maximum measuring distance was limited by distant haze - which was actually laser-reflecting snow/ice in air around windmill park area. As with any long range laser, good support always helps. In normal clear weather better performance can be achieved without tripod. Few times ranging required more than one press because of both haze and tripod...
